The Start the Holiday Season with a Walk in the Park event is scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 20 in Newport News.
The Start the Holiday Season with a Walk in the Park event, sponsored by the Volunteer Center of the Virginia Peninsula, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Newport News Park.
The event will run from 5-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20.
According to a Volunteer Center of the Virginia Peninsula release, "Attendees can walk, stroll or roll at their own pace through the lighted display with your family and friends and support the Volunteer Center of the Virginia Peninsula. Join the fun and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and maybe a reindeer or two before the big day."
Advance tickets are $25 for families or groups of up to five people. Also, tickets are $10 for those age 13 and older; $8 each for military personnel and veterans with identification; $5 for youth ages 3 to 12; children age 2 and younger are free. The night of the event tickets will be $10 per person.
A free parking lot will be available during the event.
