Bleechers Sports Bar and Grill receives health inspection Nov. 15
Bleechers Sports Bar and Grill underwent a routine Virginia Department of Health inspection Nov. 15.
The facility received four noncritical violations.
The noncritical violations were: "There was no temperature-measuring device located in the cook's line make station," "the nonfood contact surface of the countertop is not corrosion-resistant, nonabsorbent, and/or smooth," "the three-compartment sink is not sealed to adjoining equipment or walls" and "light bulb in grill hood and walk-in cooler not shielded, coated or otherwise shatter-resistant."
Inspections are scheduled to take place one to four times per year depending on variables such as menu complexity, how much food is made in advance versus cooked-to-order and how much food is made from raw products, according to the Virginia Department of Health website. Critical violations, if left uncorrected, are more likely than other violations to directly contribute to food contamination, environmental degradation or illness. Noncritical violations are not directly related to causing foodborne illness.
This information was obtained from inspection reports from the Virginia Department of Health. To read the reports in full, go to www.vdh.state.va.us and select "Restaurant Inspections" in the Quick Links section, then the desired city. Enter the restaurant's name in the search field.
