Newport News incident report, Dec. 2-8

The following police incidents were reported in the northern Newport News area from Dec. 2 to Dec. 8:

A case involving tampering with an automobile is under further investigation, according to the Newport News Police Department. The crime was at a residence or home in the 400 block of South Trellis Court.

A case involving a theft from a building is under further investigation, according to the Newport News Police Department. The crime was at an unknown location in the 100 block of South Dogwood Court.

An incident involving an unauthorized use of vehicle was reported in a parking lot or garage in the north precinct of Newport News. The incident was reported in the 15400 block of Warwick Boulevard, which is in the 33 police beat (report area 119). The case is under further investigation.

An instance of shoplifting was reported at an unknown location in the 12300 block of Jefferson Avenue, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report came from the central precinct, in beat 23 and report area 157. The case is closed or cleared (by arrest).
