Credit card fraud reported at Huntington Avenue

The Newport News Police Department is investigating a recent incident involving credit card fraud.

The incident was reported in the 5000 block of Huntington Avenue at 9:10 a.m. Oct. 16.

According to a news release from the police, "An unknown man made four attempts to withdraw funds from an ATM using a stolen credit card. The victim's credit cards, purse and other personal items were stolen when her vehicle was broken into while parked in a Shipyard parking lot earlier the same morning."
